IMBC Held the General Meeting of the Association Participants

21 August 2026, in Astana, a meeting of the General Meeting of IMBC Participants was held, during which the Centre’s performance results for the first half of 2026, as well as the implementation of previously adopted decisions, were reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to the results of IMBC’s activities for 2021–2026 across key areas, including demand and market analysis, implementation of Capacity Development Plans (CDP) and the Advanced Gap Analysis Report (AGAR), production localization and investment facilitation, advocacy activities, as well as the development of cooperation with domestic and international companies.

In addition, the work carried out by IMBC on the development of an online platform for verified manufacturers was positively assessed. The launch of the platform is planned for the end of 2026. The Operators expressed their interest in launching the platform and noted high expectations regarding its effectiveness, practical value and potential for further market development.

The participants also highlighted IMBC’s significant contribution to the development of advocacy activities. As part of its further initiatives, particular attention will be paid to the development of steel production in the Republic of Kazakhstan to support the manufacturing of equipment used in major projects, as well as to creating conditions for conducting the necessary laboratory testing in Kazakhstan in accordance with international standards.

The participants also discussed the preparation and organization of the IMBC Forum and Operators’ Open Doors Day, to be held in Uralsk on 15–16 October 2026. These events will provide a practical platform for direct dialogue between Operators and manufacturers.

Following the meeting, the participants confirmed their positive assessment of IMBC’s continued activities aimed at the further development of oil and gas engineering, expanding localization, attracting international OEM manufacturers and investments, as well as strengthening cooperation between Operators, government authorities and domestic enterprises.
