IMBC Held a Panel Session as Part of the 30th Anniversary KIOGE “Oil and Gas” Exhibition and Conference
Traditionally, IMBC holds a Panel Session as part of the international KIOGE conference & exhibition. This year, the session was held on September 30, 2026, in Almaty under the theme “Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturing and Petrochemicals.”
The session was attended by Yerlan Akbarov, Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of major Operators - TCO, KPO and NCOC, as well as around 100 representatives of local and international equipment manufacturers, investors and other industry stakeholders.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation between Operators and local manufacturers, the development of sustainable supply chains, and expanding the participation of Kazakhstan companies in the procurement activities of oil and gas petrochemical companies.
Participants also discussed opportunities for localizing international manufacturers in Kazakhstan, including technology transfer, the development of new manufacturing capabilities, and the establishment of joint production facilities.

During the session IMBC presented the key areas of its activities. “Such industry platforms provide an opportunity to directly match the needs of oil and gas Operators with the capabilities of domestic and international manufacturers. This creates a foundation for developing local production, attracting new technologies, and establishing sustainable supply chains within Kazakhstan,” said Dastan Abishev, General Director of IMBC

As part of KIOGE, a series of meetings were also held with local and international manufacturers, as well as potential investors. The meetings focused on opportunities for production localization, implementation of investment projects, and further development of industrial cooperation in Kazakhstan.
