IMBC met with Akimat and Major Subsoil Users of Aktobe Region

May 22, 2026, a delegation from the International Center for Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building (IMBC), led by General Director Dastan Abishev, held an official visit to the city of Aktobe. The business trip featured a series of official meetings primarily focused on developing in-country value (ICV) within the region's oil and gas sector.

During the visit, the IMBC met with Askhat Shakharov, the Akim of the Aktobe Region. The parties discussed the current state of the region's machine-building industry, the barriers faced by local manufacturers, and joint initiatives to involve Aktobe-based enterprises in major projects.

In Aktobe, IMBC delegation also held substantive negotiations with the executive management of the region's major oil-producing companies, namely CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas JSC and KMK Munai JSC. The primary focus of the discussions was increasing the share of in-country value in purchased goods. 

As a result of these meetings, the parties agreed to develop potential measures aimed at expanding the participation of Kazakhstan suppliers in procurement processes.
