IMB Center held a breakout session on Oil and Gas machine building at the XII Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan

On April 25, 2025, IMB Center held a breakout session dedicated to Oil and Gas machine building within the framework of the XII Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan in Astana.

 

The event was opened by welcoming speech of Kudaibergen Arymbek, Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan during which he noted the achieved results of joint work to increase the in-country value in goods.

 

In his speech, Dastan Abishev, General Director of IMB Center, mentioned the importance of developing oil and gas machine building industry and spoke about the ongoing work of IMB Center and further plans to develop the potential of local manufacturers and localize goods consumed by oil and gas Operators.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the reports were delivered by Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Geological Exploration and Prospective Projects of JSC NC QazaqGaz, on the status of project implementation (GPZ), and Bauyrzhan Ilyasov, Head of the procurement control department, Department of procurement and supply JSC NC «KazMunayGas», on the development of domestic value in KMG purchases. In addition, Andrey Reshetnev, General Director of Kalamkas — Khazar Operating LLP, Maxim Khismatulin, Technical Director for Design at Sileno LLP, and Diaz Diyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Business Development at KMG PetroChem LLP, made detailed presentations on planned projects and the status of work, as well as future plans.

 

Closer to the end of the event, North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) signed contracts with Brücke Energy LLP for the supply of safety valves and with ATV Kazakhstan LLP for the supply of high-pressure ball valves.

 

Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) signed 4 contracts with 3 Kazakhstani companies for the supply of equipment worth more than $10.5 million. These contracts are required to support safe and reliable operations at the Tengiz field. Under these agreements, the equipment from these Kazakhstani companies will be used during maintenance turnarounds and for routine works at the Tengiz field. AtyrauNefteMash LLP will produce a Klaus combustion chamber, Sewon-Vertex HeavyIndustry LLP will produce a barrel burner and oxidizer vessel, аnd Honeywell Automation Controls System LLP will produce a cabinet cluster. It should be noted that Honeywell has localized its production in Kazakhstan and this equipment supply agreement was concluded as part of a trilateral memorandum of cooperation with TCO and International Machine Builders Center (IMBC) that was signed last year.
