IMBC and QazIndustry strengthen cooperation to develop Kazakhstan’s oil and gas machine building sector

On April 13, 2026, IMBC held a working meeting with representatives of the Joint Stock Company “Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center “QazIndustry” (hereinafter referred to as QazIndustry) as part of expanding partnership and coordinating efforts to support local manufacturers.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed current state support instruments aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan enterprises. Special attention was given to developing the potential of local manufacturers and integrating them into the supply chains of major oil and gas operators. As part of the discussion, the critical role of international certification for products was highlighted as one of the key factors enabling domestic producers to enter global markets. IMBC emphasized the importance of existing state support measures, particularly cost reimbursement mechanisms for certification implemented by QazIndustry.

 

Representatives of QazIndustry provided information on recent changes and additions to state incentive measures aimed at improving labor productivity and promoting goods, works, and services of Kazakhstan origin. Currently, QazIndustry acts as the operator for reimbursing expenses related to international certification, the purchase of certain equipment, as well as railway transportation within Kazakhstan.

 

For its part, IMBC expressed its readiness to collaborate in informing local manufacturers about available support instruments and raising awareness among enterprises regarding opportunities to receive state support measures.

 

 

 

IMBC also noted the importance of QazIndustry’s analytical and expert activities, emphasizing that access to high-quality industry data is a key element in forming effective industrial development strategies.

 

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation, including the exchange of analytical data and the development of expert collaboration practices.
