IMB Center spoke at the Mazhilis of the Parliament on issues related to the development of local content on major oil and gas projects

On February 13, 2025, the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the working group on the implementation of production sharing agreements under the Ministry of Energy with the participation of deputies of the Parliament, representatives of JSC NC KazMunayGas, various associations and domestic manufacturers.

During the meeting of the working group, issues related to the development of local content and support for domestic manufacturers of oil and gas equipment, as well as suppliers of works (services) were considered Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO).

During the event, Vice Minister of Energy Kudaibergen Arymbek, Managing Director of KPO Marco Marsili and General Director of IMB Center Dastan Abishev presented reports on the ongoing joint work. In his speech Dastan Abishev spoke in detail about the activities and results of IMB Center, including the analysis conducted by IMB Center for commodity groups.

This event was another step in the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Government's efforts to develop Kazakhstani content in the procurement of large subsurface users of the oil and gas sector and support domestic producers of goods, as well as suppliers of works (services).
