IMBC Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Akimat of Shymkent City

From June 3 to 5, 2025, the management and key specialists of IMBC and Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) paid a working visit to Shymkent.

 

The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration with regional authorities and local manufacturers, as well as to promote local production and localization.

 

As part of the program, an official meeting took place between Gabit Syzdykbekov, the Akim of Shymkent, Dastan Abishev, IMBC General Director, Konilkosh Suyessinov, TCO Deputy General Director, and Aibek Krambayev, General Manager of Policy, Government and Public Affairs department. The parties discussed long-term strategies for developing local manufacturers.

 

“One of our key goals is to support and develop local manufacturers. Our visit to Shymkent confirmed the region’s high level of readiness to expand its industrial base,” said Dastan Abishev, General Director of IMBC.

 

Additionally, a meeting was held with the business community to present Shymkent’s industrial potential, TCO’s plans and recommendations, and the activities of IMBC. After that, the IMBC delegation, together with the Akimat and TCO representatives, visited major production sites in Shymkent, including Karlskrona, AZIA Trafo, HILL Corporation, ZEMI, and others.

 

 

“TCO thoroughly assesses production capacity and places great emphasis on a systematic approach to quality, safety, and transparency. It is important that local enterprises are ready to align with international standards and are open to dialogue. This lays a strong foundation for potential future cooperation,” said Konilkosh Suyessinov, Deputy General Director of Tengizchevroil.

 

Following the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between IMBC and the Akimat of Shymkent to foster effective collaboration in the oil and gas engineering sector.

 

The Memorandum outlines joint efforts to enhance the capacity of local manufacturers, create favorable conditions for attracting investments, facilitate technology transfer, and localize new productions.

 

IMBC recognizes Shymkent’s strong industrial potential, presence of modern manufacturing facilities, and commitment to developing an export-oriented sector.
