Kalamkas – Khazar Operating joined IMBC

On July 23, 2025, Astana, IMBC signed an agreement on the membership of LLP “Kalamkas – Khazar Operating” to the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building (IMBC).
The signing ceremony was attended and opened by welcoming speeches from Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC KazMunayGas,” Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kudaibergen Arymbek, as well as top management of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V., North Caspian Operating Company N.V., LLP Tengizchevroil, LLP Lukoil Kazakhstan Upstream, LLP Kalamkas – Khazar Operating, and IMBC.
This agreement will enable Kalamkas – Khazar Operating to strengthen cooperation with domestic machine building enterprises, accelerate the localization of equipment used in offshore oil and gas projects, and gain access to IMBC’s data analytics and technical expertise. In addition, the membership will provide broader access for local manufacturers to technical specifications for equipment, which is especially important in the context of large-scale projects in the Caspian region.
“We are pleased to welcome LLP Kalamkas — Khazar Operating as a member of IMBC and are confident that their participation will significantly contribute to achieving the Center’s strategic goals, such as the development of domestic engineering, attraction of investments, and localization of production,” said Dastan Abishev, General Director of IMBC.
This strategic partnership opens new prospects for cooperation in the field of oil and gas machine building, strengthening mutual ties and expanding opportunities for joint project implementation.
Moreover, it will help expand the “economies of scale” effect and ensure coverage of procurement analysis across all promising oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan.
