IMBC participated in the XIII Annual Conference "KAZNEFTEGAZSERVICE - 2026: Oilfield Construction and Engineering"
Dastan Abishev, General Director of the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building (IMBC), took participation at the Operators' Section of the Annual Conference "KAZNEFTEGAZSERVICE – 2026: Oil and Gas Construction and Engineering."
The conference is one of the leading industry platforms, bringing together subsoil users, oilfield service providers, and government representatives.
Abishev presented the current status of the IMBC activities and outlined key focus areas aimed at developing In-Country Value and supporting domestic manufacturers.
Particular emphasis was placed on IMBC’s priority areas, including: localization of oil and gas equipment, support for domestic manufacturers, attraction of technologies and investments, expansion of collaboration with operators of major oil and gas projects.
The General Director emphasized that, as part of a comprehensive market assessment of domestic producers for compliance with Operator requirements and international standards, more than 80 high-potential manufacturers were identified. Specifically, these companies possess the necessary technological base, international certifications, and experience in supplying products to international projects.
Furthermore, as a result of the work on the Polyethylene and Gas Separation Complex (GSC) projects, EPC contractors identified over 197 manufacturers as potential participants in upcoming procurement. Contracts have already been awarded to manufacturers for the supply of goods such as columns, polyethylene pipes, pressure sensors, and transformers for the Polyethylene project.
It was also noted that, thanks to the joint efforts of the Ministry of Energy, the PSA LLC, and major operators, over 200 contracts, trial orders, and purchase requisitions have been signed to date between Operators and domestic producers, totaling more than $800 million.
During the event, Dastan Abishev was awarded a jubilee medal for his significant contribution to the development of the oilfield service industry.
